Rumor has it they've started shooting for this movie already. I didn't even know that this was a solid thing.

Did production kick off today? - Batman News

This will probably be bad, but don't really have anything to base that on other than I think that the Batman/Superman thing is going to be bad too. Also Batman-news, interesting.

There is a reason Scarjo never got a solo Widow movie and she actually looks the part (and can act). This will be Catwoman levels of terrible.

I really do think that movie was a one-time deal (in terms of sheer fucking awfulness). Catwoman seemed like it was purposefully designed to be as cringe-worthy as possible.

That said yeah this'll probably suck.

The Catwoman movie was not a DC approved movie by any means. I think they got their asses sued. I'd watch a wonder woman movie. Her tits need inflating though

I honestly hope all of the DC movies do well. I don't like most of the characters much, but I want to see the quality stay up there, and having different universes and characters to see is a good thing in my opinion. I always liked Wonder Woman well enough (I grew up lusting after Linda Carter), and even though I'm not a fan of Gal Gadot portraying her, I still hope it succeeds and is entertaining. And, as proven by characters like Iron Man and Captain America, and even Arrow and Flash, just because I wasn't a fan of the character in the comics doesn't mean I can't find the movie or show fascinating, so having a character that I don't mind (Wonder Woman) help usher in more characters that I might end up liking is nothing but a good thing. And it isn't like the Sony/Fox debacle where I want them to fail so that Marvel can do them right, these are already where they will always be, so if they fail there is no hope for a better version anytime soon.

I'd love for these movies to be great. I'd even be pretty excited if they were just reasonably good. My expectations are low however. I really hope I'm wrong and these are as good as the Marvel movies. I just don't think it will happen.

We all fear a Superman Returns whenever they go sideways on stand-alone super hero movies. Where do you start from, how much of an origin story vs assumption of familiarity do you split hairs on?

This is before you even question their choice of casting for the main character.

It should be mentioned that Catwoman was the 2nd feature film of Pitof, a french special effect specialist, known for his work with Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. You know, the Jeunet who a few year prior graced us with Alien 4... Patty Jenkins of Monster fame should bring the base level of quality significantly higher, but I am more than a little worried in her ability to direct action scenes.

Not buxom enough.

I used to watch Linda Carter as wonder woman as a kid. My mom likes to remind me sometimes how I used to call the show "Wonder Boobies"

I think I loved her.

lynda carter pretty much ruined wonder woman for a generation. she had so much going for her that it was incomprehensible to try and shoehorn somebody else in the role. hell, i still compare this new wonder woman to lynda carter. and this new chick doesnt match up. the closest they got was adrienne palicki, but her costume looked like shit.

That costume is still really bad. Would still pee in her butt though.
exactly, palicki is a fine looking woman, her boobs may not be as wondrous as lynda carter's but she has legs that go up to the sky. and what do they do? make her wear fucking slacks. that costume was just trash, no doubt its one of the reasons why the pilot failed. that and it sucked donkey balls.
