Tbh i don't really like the mutant egg mechanic. Every other part of the breeding game you have a significant amount of agency and earn it through player choice and effort. The mutation is just a lottery ticket that becomes an inevitable shortcut toward powerful pals. I've hatched like thirty...

I just discovered you can condense pals you've already condensed and get a 100% return on the condensation... I've been holding out on condensing so many pals because I didn't want to waste the pals on a pal that's missing a passive or has a bad IV.

wow, that's impressive. I've gotten many of my best passive skills from mutated eggs too, but to get a pal with four very strong passives that also has a top 20 breeding power is very good.

Coming back to this, I'd say that this is no longer the case at the midgame that I'm at now. You can build pretty much anywhere that isn't stupid and the placeable resource buildings can support you. There are still advantages to building in areas near resources but it's not the massive benefit...

Yeah once I went from the initial content where Pal Metal was top tier to Plasteel I got sticker shock on how long it takes. It's definitely a transition to "post game" content where they designs everything for people who had already finished the game and had highly evolved pals. It's fine...
