The first two episodes of this were decent. Not quite sure where the show is going but will keep watching.

This is a new show on HBO Max and its hilarious. Jean Smart kills it as a crude aged comedian. She seems to be in everything on HBO the last few years. Highly recommend this.

Season 2 finale was good. They ended it where it could be the end of the show but left it open ended enough just in case its renewed for a third season. Season 2 wasnt as good as season 1 but still enjoyable. The cameo with Laurie Metcalf was great. And Kayla is probably the best character on the show. Girl is hilarious.

The wife and I just started watching this. We just saw the Jurassic Park Piano scene. I don't know why exactly but something about that scene just made us both lose it. We had to pause for a couple minutes.

$100k on piano lessons and this is all she learned. Maybe because our kids are taking piano lessons. Sometimes the silly stupid shit and the throw away lines on this show are the best.

Too lazy to look it up. Are any of the Writers on this show from Veep? I am noticing some comedic similarities that I like.

I hope it does end here. I really liked it but it has a good ending and needs to just end.

Edit: just saw it was renewed. Fuck. Now we get some contrived bullshit to continue it.

Funny the show is based on two women, but is chock-full of tits. Some great writing as well.

It's a pretty clever show that manages to make the juxtaposition of 2 very different generations relatable and "real".

It's wild how rare it is in media now where the older, wiser character is actually a mentor that puts the younger, chip on their shoulder character in their place. It's the usually the opposite, which is laughable.

It's very much a Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy kind of relationship which led to some of the best quips in television. Of course, until VEEP came in and then turned everything up to 11.

Renewed for a season 4. Thought this might of gotten canned after season 3 due to the delays because of Jean Smart's health issues.

So I started watching this based on this post and I must say....what the fuck is wrong with you people?

This is a comedy for post menopausal women like your aunt Cecilia who identify with Jean Smart's character, who struggle with crossing the generational gap and identifying with their gen z daughters. Basically same audience as the Golden Girls (unironically.)

This is a drama for gen z brain washed feminist woke mind virus "women" who identify with the insufferable twat (who is actually the female lead and star of the show, despite being 2nd billing since she has by far more airtime than the Deborah Vance character), women who struggle with the real world and having to actually put in work and effort to accomplish shit, realizing they aren't really that good or funny.

The insufferable twat is 100% a direct insert of the creator/writer/producer for this show. Her husband is the other showrunner and she's clearly his beard since that dude is obviously a faggot. The wakandan faggot on the show is definitely his fantasy insert. to be fair, the husband (who also plays the agent on the show) is probably the best part, his and Kayla's interactions are the funniest bits.

I can clearly see the juxtaposition between these two "worlds" and pulling off both a comedy to your older audience while being a drama for the newer retarded generation is definitely an achievement, I can respect what they are trying to do, I also realize I am definitely not the target audience for this show since I do not suck cock.

This show is for women and gays.

I don't say this lightly. I actually respected the opinions of the posters of this thread (some of you at least) and really forced myself to sit through the entire first season, waiting for it to get good or to appeal to me, a straight man. It was a struggle to be sure and I ended up distracted/pausing the show often just trying to get through it.

If this show appeals to you, please see your doctor and get your testosterone levels checked.
