I've mentioned this before, but I'd love to see a BG3 'Tactics'. Strip away the story elements and focus purely on dungeon crawls (and other environments). Provide a map editor so players can create their own content.
I want to see this, but in a different setting like Eberron.

Am i the only one who thought it was a big waste that you get max level a third into act 3 which has a ton of content? Doing all the cool side quests of act 3 just isnt as fun when your build is finished and there is no xp to gain.
Circling back to this. I think this is a much better design choice rather than setting the game to hit max level right before you finish the game, giving you minimal time to use your max level skills/spells. I'd much rather have half an act worth of content to play at max level than only a couple encounters.

I'm getting this odd behavior when using the Sanctuary spell sometimes. I get the message "Sanctuary blocked". Any idea what causes this?

It stops when you take offensive action right?

So do you have an offensive spell active like Cloud of Knives or Guardian Spirits?

Thinking on it, I may have tossed a fire bomb then sanctuaried myself. Perhaps the lingering burning effect blocks it?

Sanctuary blocked usually means you've already been sanc'd right before. I think there is a 2 turn block so you can't attack > sanc > attack > sanc over and over.

On sale on steam now for $50.99. I would think most people who were interested would have bought it by now.

Hit max level on my Bhaalspawn playthrough. Honestly this should be the base experience but I get why it wasn't.

I went evil so literally everyone is dead:
Gale - cut his hand off at the portal
Karlach - cut off her head for Wyll and the Paladins, then killed the Paladins anyway
Wyll - sacrifice to Boooal
Halsin - I rescued him but forgot to escort him out, so he came to my camp to avenge the grove I slaughtered
Jaheria - I killed Isobel on purpose, bye bye Last Light Inn
Minsk - Seemed to be leading a criminal gang which had 10k gold I wanted
Laezel - I let Orin kidnap and kill her, was sick of hearing about fucking Vlaakith

I had some nice surprises that the House of Grief and Temple of Bhaal were much easier, but the Foundry is going to be much harder with all the Gnomes being dead - actually considering just siding with Gortash since I don't need any more exp.

Also got The Emperor to drop his mask and admit he's evil since I was purposefully being an asshole to people. If you don't antagonise him you may think he's a good guy.

Took me 40 hours on the second try (60 on the first), I think this game is much shorter than some people say, they just must be talking to every NPC that exists lol.

I prefer Elden Ring, Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty and Baldur's Gate Original Trilogy, but this is an outstanding game mainly for the sheer volume of choices, voice acting and memorable characters.

Big patch with official modding tools and interface, that supports all platforms, to be released in September. Never heard of Mod.io, but according to them, it will allow console plebs to use mods too (and allow them to veto "unsavory" mods that the plebs are allowed to access, but not the PC master race):

Haven't gotten into modding BG3 yet. Still holding out hope for DLC first but Larian seems pretty adamant it won't happen.

I wonder to what extent can people "mod" the game? Will it be possible to add entirely new content, such as areas?

I'm 99% sure no DLC will be made. AFAIK, they are still planning on "finishing" out act 3 and maybe adding the Noble Quarter to BG. The Definitive Edition might take more than a year to complete though, unlike previous releases, which I believe were on the 1 year anniversary.

Also, they are supposedly working on two other games right now and once manpower has been shifted, it's unlikely it will be shifted back.

When Sven was talking about D:OS2, it was one of his goals to allow people to make thier own adventures with the mod tools. I didn't really follow that game after I finished it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed people to create their own landscapes. As for other stuff, mods have already added the Artificer class and other various sub-classes, so proper tools should make those type of mods even better/easier to make.

I'm hoping the mod tools will allow people to properly increase the level cap to 20, with new spells/talents and custom design the difficulty of chapter 3 to accommodate it. The spells and balance seemed like it was really the main hurdle for going past level 12 for them, in terms of programing time needed.

QuickEdit: I know there are already mods increasing the level cap and adding a bunch of spells, but many of the higher level spells would need more love than the current mods can really achieve (probably).

Yeah, like I mentioned previously, I want a pure tactical dungeon runner. No blabbing.
Bah, at least this game is fully voiced. The others in the genre arent so not only do they inundate you with reams and reams of text, most of it is not even voiced. I think Wasteland 3 was the best that didnt get to chatty. They only said what needed to be said. Owlcat, on the other hand, gets all windy with their writing so youre fucking reading a book. Warhammer Rogue trader was petty bad in that respect. Not only was it long winded, some of the shit just lost me, no im not a warhammer 40K nerd. The Pathfinders were the same way...zzzzzzz.reading...zzzzzz.
