Had to look it up on wiki... kids are saved by the angel and its all time-looped back a-la scrooge-esq as they then turn things right, and go into a happy ending.

I love that! We still watch it every year at least once. All my kids demand to see it. Thank goodness I found it on dvd because it's hard to find online.
