The video right above your post states that in the first ~10 seconds.

I didn't watch the video, it's been bug and crash city after the path.

I don't know if it's just me, a major bug or what I haven't been able to find anything. When I open the spellbook I got a very long list of cantraip after cantrip evne though I only have so many cantrips. I mean long by 2 minutes of scrolling down to get to the bottom of the list, spells don't show up regardless of tab or which character. Only cantrips. On the character in game the spells I had selected before the patch show up but I can't find a way to change out what spells I have read to cast. Wizard or cleric just cantrip after cantrip and the reasons tab and lithid tab but no actual spells show. I'm missing something.

On shadow heart the tab shows 9/9 in the tab heading, but no spells show up on that tab just cantrips. My wizard doesn't show anything in the tab heading and nothing on the tab itself and he can cast a number of spells on the game UI. He's 1 cleric, 1 sorcerror, 8 wizard and nothing on the spellbook tabs.

Are you running any mods? A friend of mine's save is borked currently, but mine is fine. And I have a few QoL mods installed.

So did they add a bunch of stuff to chapter 3 to "finish" it like they said they may do, back when it was released? I think Sven talked about the Noble Quarter, which was scrapped part way through development. I am assuming no, as that would have probably got the most publicity.

Looks like they just polished a few things but nothing really added to act 3.

No. Some cut content has been datamined, but a lot of it is unfinished.

We may see it eventually, just not from Larian. WOTC wouldn't allow Larian to release a full blown map editor (custom campaigns, custom terrain, etc), so when Larian released the custom tool for public use, they "accidentally" left code in which would allow modders to actually make custom maps through third party tools.

Here's another ShakyJake pro-tip:

At High Hall, you can bypass pretty much everything. Here is the method I use: take a cleric, cast Sanctuary on yourself, use an Invisibility potion, and run directly to the large door at the back. Then, cast Fly, use another invisibility potion, and fly past the second door on the left—note that an intellect devourer is located there. Navigate your character around that door to a platform on the right. From there, fly to another platform slightly to the left, and continue maneuvering toward the final door that leads to the brain stem. Once your character ascends the brain stem, your entire party will automatically warp to the final stage area.

One thing I noticed when I was loading saves to figure out the spellbook issue, saves seem like they load a lot faster than they used to.

I started a new honor mode run and I think they might have changeed the AI, the nautiloid the commander went out of his way to attack me and not the mind flayer which in the past I've never had that happen. Not just a reaction but start of the turn attack. Not sure if it was just one of those things or it changed.

I played with patch 8 for a few. They'ce tweaked the AI on some of the enounters. Nothing major but at least the arly ones I did were a little differnet. Like the first goblin encounter outside the grove some of them are no longer get stuck attacking one payer comanion for whatever reason and instead they seem to have different priorities and they change. Again nothing major and no idea if it stays that way through the game.

This may be PS5 only but when you hold the button to show everything you can react with, the text doesn't line up with where physical things are. It seems way off and borderline useless. This is new in patch 8

On a PC you get black chat bubbles with no text for 2-3 companions at once I guess they are trying to talk to each other. Just started this patch and at random times.

the triangle? i only have 1 so far, while that gay rogue dude has 2
It sounds like you have no idea what you are doing. Multiclassing is not really for N00bs.

Fighter is generally better than Barb, or was, but not by a lot, just respec and pick one. Fighters get Action Surge that gives an extra action and it's recovered on a short rest. The best Battle Master spec give you even more points to spend on spell like abilities too (cleave, knockdown, etc.)

Also, you may have found a tossing harpoon/polearm that returns to you once thrown. Barb tossing that harpoon is pretty powerful, if you would rather be barb. At any rate, alternating 1 level in 1 class and 1 level in a second class, until you get to max level (12) may be the biggest n00b trap in the game.

Can make a battle master fighter. They get manauvers and you get to pick 3 or from a list 3 times while leveling. Some of the manauvers are really handy. Trip melee and ranged to knock an enemy prone. Goad to get the stuff to attack you and not the other companions. There's quite a few and are really handy.

Never played Eldrich Knight or the new Arcane Archer. I do think Elrich Knight takes more planning gear wise and leveling than just a pure fighter. Kind of like Champion you need to accumulate + crit gear and it adds up a lot but it's kind of slow to develop compared to the battle master.

Since none of the new subclasses appealed much to me I decided to do an honor run with a class I've never played and just guessing it's not played a lot. Monk way of the shadow. It's just me and a companion. It's extremely slow for the first 3 levels before taking a subclass. I "think" later in the game it will be pretty useful if I think ahead and really work on manauvering. Or it could suck and I move onto something else.

I have a retarded friend that gave up on the game -- "it's too hard" -- because he was picking shit willy nilly. There are tons of builds videos out there.
