There are some serious implications for transporter eugenics introduced in this whole storyline.. I know the 'transporter accident' was overused to the point of being a trope in the franchise as a whole but good grief that whole technology is foundationally creepy as hell.

Most of this is just common sense. In the game I'm running now the BBEG was going to be the mother of one of the characters, and then that player's mom got diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. So with that in mind I pivoted the fuck away from that whole plotline because playing the game...

That we could go from "God this guy is a total asshole" to "WHAT?!?! NOO!!!!" in the space of 9 episodes is really quite remarkable.

There is a demo out now, apparently the one they had at their booth at PAX? Anyway it's a very interesting style of cRPG, more like a point and click adventure game with a ton of atmosphere and story elements. Demo is short, but I'm quite impressed with the world building.

It seems to be about a colony of Quen that are in Los Angeles. (Forbidden West is mostly San Fran / East Bay) Plot is likely just what we expected at the end of the game with the missing Gaia aspects. More-of-same gameplay while someone tries to figure out how to make the end of the trilogy...

In all honesty it was like a Dr Who episode only with guns.

The last two episodes were decent inasmuch as they told a complete story that could have ended the show as a one-season limited series. Not sure where they go from here, though, especially with the various characters in the 'present' as they have largely resolved all that mess.

That would have been a nice element of tragedy. Not enough was said about how the Dominion war really wrecked everything in the Alpha quadrant. It's really a shame that the TNG movies of the period didn't feed off that more.

I never got into Breath of the Wild. The weapon durability thing just annoyed me to the point where I didn't care to continue and I stopped after playing for maybe an hour or two.

I was entertained and had a chance to play with some friends I hadn't gamed with since we stopped mainlining Risk of Rain 2. Shame we have to wait two more months to continue the fun.

The Necro minions benefit from your main passives, so I loaded up on thorns with the chance to hit everything when thorns procs and had the barrier / invul passives as well. By 25 I was just walking around ans evedything was dying from trying to gank my skellies and promptly killing themselves...

Druid is pretty fun. Werewolf is a nice melee DPS that is substantially less squishy than Barbarian. Earth is basically an Earthbender from Avatar and I'm absolutely okay with this..
