    The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE)

Anyone else notice after pretending like he just found out who Rogan is, he fired off Jamie's name as if he was very familiar with it?

    Watchmen

Lindelof? Pass. I'm sure it will start off as an intruiging world with lots of mystery and foundational questions that will ultimately never be satisfactorily answered. In 3-7 years all you fags that didn't learn your lesson after Lost will be gnashing your teeth at the horrible ending.

    The Irishman (2018)

I wonder how many Rolling Stones songs will be played while the camera follows one of the leads in slow motion during a tense scene.

    Breaking Bad

Ya I've enjoyed the Fring/Mike/drug trade stuff but all the lawyer shit....pass. It took what, 4 seasons to even get to him being Saul? That's 2 seasons too many.

    Breaking Bad

Perfection. I don't have a single complaint and am very happy with the ending. Will be included on every subsequent rewatch of BB. Enjoyed this much more than any two hours of Better Call Saul.

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

Why wait for retirement?! I mean that's pretty much what we're all doing in the GG and Politics threads already.

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

Understandable. Without a quote it just seemed like you were old man yelling at the sky wizard and I had forgotten about her contribution to the convo.

    Lawyer costs question

I've had a law firm take care of a couple outstanding tickets/warrants for me exclusively through email. If you're wanting to keep costs down then I think that's how they do it now. Just look up reviews for the firm on Google first. If they are completely shady it should come up.

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

We've been having a great discussion for 5 pages and then you toss out a "god damn Christians suck, amirite guys!?" non-sequitur completely out of nowhere. Why is that? Are you so insecure in your non-belief that you have to shoe horn it into every conversation? Not much different than TDS...

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

Yep. It just sucks that, because of our own mortality, those of us that actually care the most about this stuff won't be able to see it come to fruition. Instead we have to watch our inheritance be squandered to pay for 400lb Mexican trannies get their dicks chopped. Pass on your genes faggots...

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

If humans were a eusocial species like ants, bees, and wasps and still retained our ability to innovate we would be setting up jump stations around Jupiter right now instead of arguing about feminine penises.

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

You mean like...submarines? Even easier if you are taking out the need for human life support on the journey. Obviously interstellar travel is far more technical, difficult, or whatever adjective you want to use. But it's by no means so far out of reach as to be "magical". Politics has had a...

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

You can still achieve relativistic speeds using our current Apollo level propulsion tech. Constant acceleration over a long period of time will always get you there... high school physics. The problem is the "long period of time" part of the equation. And braking. Go take a look at how fast...

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

Who is making that assumption and why would that be relevant? I think the original problem takes into account that technology would improve. It was simply using the speed of light and how much %c we could achieve to come up with the 5-50 million number. Am I wrong about that?

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

You can take it one step further and note that the raisins are only "moving" relative to an outside observer. Since the bread is the entire universe itself there is no outside observer, therefore the raisins have actually maintained their original positions, relative to each other, since the...

The Fermi Paradox -- Where is everybody?

My favorite analogy in thinking about the expansion of space is imagine bread dough with raisins. It starts as one compressed ball all mushed together but as the bread rises(space expansion) the raisins(galaxies) move further apart. If you look at it like that, the raisins themselves aren't...

Tool might eventually release a new album someday

Didn't work for me either. Seemed bland. I felt like if you isolated any of the guitar riffs, drum fills, or bass lines they would be indistinguishable from their previous works. Especially stuff from 10,000 Days. Made it 3/4 of the way through and it hadn't elevated my heart rate once. So I...

    Breaking Bad

If you can't empathize in some way with any of the characters in a movie/show/play then it's either not worth watching or you're an emotionless robot. I don't understand how anyone could enjoy a show like BB, The Wire, or Sopranos and then say they don't relate at all to any of the characters...

    Breaking Bad

The last couple pages are a good study into how rational, intelligent people can view the exact same events and come to entirely different conclusions. I think it boils down to empathy. Some people empathize or "see themselves as" Walt or Jesse and that totally colors how they process what they see.

    Breaking Bad

He fucking fake poisoned Jesse's girlfriend's little boy and and then set it up so Jesse would think Fring did it. All because he was butthurt that Fring, Mike, and Jesse were all doing well WITHOUT him. Just like the biochem billionaires. It was Walt's butthurt fucking ego that killed everyone...

    Breaking Bad

No shit, and he still pulled it off. Jesse big dicking the Mexican chemist over his dirty shit lab was all him. Gus and Mike wouldn't have made it out alive without him.
  37. TheBeagle

    Breaking Bad

Jesse was a dumb kid that was in way over his head. He eventually grew into a solid man (in terms of the show). Is everyone forgetting how well he was doing after Mike took him under his wing? Mike obviously saw something worthwhile in him and I would say he was pretty good at sizing people up...

You continue holding back your entire life by forcing yourself to take shit jobs because you don't want to do 10 days?? Bro...
