Legends of Runeterra - Card game by Riot Games

Heimerdinger / Ezreal and the variant with Lux probably got boosted. I think Ill start playing Heimer. Decks that utilize Stand Alone should still do fine even without mentor. I think the main threat is still Fearsome/SI and also Heimer/Ez decks. There are some super-Control decks lurking that...

Official Notes: https://playruneterra.com/en-us/news/patch-0-9-0-notes/ I'm hearing the Lendros text "rounded up" means Damage is rounded up, NOT Nexus Health. So I think their attempt at clarity is actually a little confusing atm. (the effect hasn't changed). Not confirmed yet though.

A russian video was out there, seems down, and apparently didn't show everything... what people were able to see: Looks like they are making a lot more changes than I anticipated. A good sign? Ledros changes make sense, "Rounds Up" is a very important change. Makes him much worse. Also +1...

My thing with mentor is you get him then the 2 cost guy way too frequently, to get a 4/3 elusive on turn 2. Nobody can deal with a 3 health elusive that early. If mentor isn't changed then the 2 cost guy maybe make 3 cost, but he can be a dead card already later on if you have nothing to recall...

I don't know where this guy is finding win rates, but here's a decent Meta video: TL;DW: Elusive as a whole is the most prominent archetype, but with differences in supporting cast. Fearsome is 2nd. SI/I fearsome is the most played complete deck though Heimerdinger/Ez has the highest win rate...

I don't think Rhasa is too much of a problem really. He's strong, but I only ever see him once every 5 or 10 games maybe. I think buff cards are a little strong. The "meta" that I see at Plat II/III is decks that rely on Burst cards a lot. Heimer, Ezreal, Frostbite, Elusive... All have a lot...

Just used this deck to finally get out of Gold II, am Plat IV now. Yasuo deck by M0gwai https://decksofruneterra.com/decks/JB1U8yp6 Pretty strong, isn't hard countered by much that I see atm. Only couple losses came from bad opening hands, no 1 or 2 drops in 2 diff games even with a 3 & 4 card...

I'm not concerned at all. Good games will grow a base slowly. The big one-hit wonders that throw $$$$ at streamers to 24/7 their game seem to flop quickly. A lot of the top games on Twitch didn't get there overnight. Also consider streaming #s on twitch seem to be plateauing, maybe due to other...

0 champions in my level 13 chest, 2nd week in a row. Got a champ wildcard from early Noxus chest though, and bought out the wildcards on the market again. I'm starting to get a nice cache of wildcards and probably won't need to buy much more. I also had nearly 10k shards and I started using them...

    OUTRIVAL: The Game I'm Making

I think that is a feeling you battle early on in most projects. I had 2-3 attempts at a game before my current project. After getting as far as I have it's become my passion project, because at this point I feel like I've got a clear path. Also I spend between 1-3 hours nightly, which isn't...

Updated another part of the map: Desert biome. Some hitching later in the video when map chunks load, minor and shouldn't appear if this wasn't being played in-editor. Also added since last post: Footsteps based on terrain, which can include a footprint / sound / particle, and can differ by...

2 years later... the almost sad state of MMOs in the new era

My struggle is figuring out what MMORPG means to people here. Does it really mean grinding mobs in dungeons for hours on end? "MMO" is any game out there these days. "RPG" is being able to escape into another world and become something else. EQ checked those 2 boxes. Nowadays there are...

I've probably said it a few times before, but the next MMO is going to be whatever becomes "hip" for the masses, probably a VR game, and probably from a company not usually known for making games... like if Facebook developed an online world you could connect to from their app. It's going to...

I don't buy the EQ mystique as much as some, that's rose-tinted glasses stuff when EQ was <1 yr old. EQ had so many resources available. I actually think GuildWars had a lot of good ideas and did a lot of things right in this regard, but their game was trying to do too much. The Structured PvP & WvW systems took a lot of resources from the PvE... Even still, the PvE in that game was very highly regarded. However, the Loot/stat...

2 years later... the almost sad state of MMOs in the new era

Personally I wish games focused on the 50-100 people raids like EQ. Smaller numbers feels like whack-a-mole / instanced content. I liked GM events in EQ where zones had 250 people and then it crashed. Nowadays they "instance" the zone if it goes over 50. I also liked the 50+ vs 50+ raid races...

I assume you mean StrifeCro's? It's not in the "meta list" of decks so I'd still be wary trying it out. My Vlad deck wasn't very successful last night, and I didn't try Strife's version yet. I question their decision to show those too, but regarding the assets, they look separated and the tile-texture is placeholder. It's common to have a grid material as placeholder. The caves still don't look that interesting tbh. Narrow hallways with roots yay?

Oh I see, well I don't know how he got 195k to begin with lol, I'm mainly just trying to justify the time spent vs what was shown. Some large systems that can eat away at your time depending how much you plan you chew off + I assume he took breaks. But yea, I agree if you get almost 200k...

I'm really not defending the guy at all. There could be shadiness, he probably spent a bulk of the money on himself/food/lodging. I just watched the video above. So now I have more of an idea what's going on there. If it's a single player RPG, that simplifies things a lot. Solo player games are infinitely easier & faster to develop. The characters probably took a decent amount of time, need to model/texture/rig/animate...

It's definitely an issue that should diminish over time, but concerning for every new expansion or card release.
