FOMO builds and farming strats are generally efficient. Efficiency is even more important if one has limited time. This is an economy-based game, where one get can price locked from upgrades let alone entire builds. While I am not in that demographic I can completely understand their point.

AFAIK they haven't released hard numbers for old content such as Shaper kills in quite some time. The last information--I don't recall the league--was a GGG dev saying that too many people were killing bosses and they didn't like that.

Unless they have some interesting flask enchants, other than the auto use on ailment, I'm not sure how this really changes much. The flasks set to auto consume on ailment seem rather dead for anything else. Flasks one wants up as much as possible would still be in a macro.

The only time I've seen a ranged attack used is ice shot/barrage mines for delving. I didn't try it though.

You can use offerings of the goddess to spawn random trials from your map device. But, you won't get an offering back. There is also a prophecy that increases the chances of a random trial in maps.
