The problem with macros in general in ff is that they don’t queue like normal casts so they feel like shit to use and you have some baseline clipping (always). e: also I think ast without cards would be super boring - it’d end up like sch whm where you just spam a nuke and some oGCD heals.

Necromancer took me like 100h~, so I do think Asmong could finish story + do an ult + get necromancer before endwalker. Just need some focused play. Old content is just a lot easier now because of scaling / class buffs (re: A3s etc).

Shb 5.0 actually does have drastically changed (good) writing, from someone who thought the rest of the story was bad to mediocre. It falls off a cliff again after 5.0 though. (There’s a few other decent bits - drk story, archer 1-30 story, etc).

Yeah it does (onslaught) - war, drk and gnb are the same skeleton (pld a bit different) with progressively more buttons to press but all the same core functionality.

Try warrior (tank) - it’s completely braindead.

This is actually one of the genuinely fun things you can do early if you’re playing with some friends - get a group together and push as deep as you can. Great Gil at 150+ and really fun. Same goes with HoH. Don’t do the 50-60 leveling spam junk, melts your brain.
