Shorting FB is easy money right now. Made 651 on it in 20 minutes today. Or I should say 351, I fatfingered the order, my sinuses ache. I could have made the 651, but the market has been open 45 minutes, and I'm going to go do something else today other than trade.

Man, 8% of my business' profit went to gas alone last month (in excess). Some parts are running 400% higher. Labor is higher (gave everyone a 6% raise). I did also raise my prices, but every business is doing this (and more). It's not good for anyone.

Unfortunately, the raises I gave my long term employees wasn't transitory. You can't just lower raises when inflation goes lower.

Anything using gas and oil is getting curb stomped. Market sees gas and oil as a bigger factor than covid dropping off the face of the Earth.

Closed trades so far this month. All is going well except for JETS...gas prices. That one is still open. I should have stopped that one out, I was thinking the trade was foolproof (a binary decision based on covid declines) and didn't factor in the gas price issue. The losers came from me...

I posted my loss of 369 trying to short Facebook on 10-5. I lost 17 on a trade yesterday (not posting on that). These are my only losing closed trades this week. Everybody loses, nobody should think differently. But I do cap my losses.

Took a small trade on KWEB today, just closed it. $385 profit.

This just saved me on a position that was running. I want to let the profits run, but go do something else. You do this when you want to secure some portion of the profit, while letting it run. You have to have enough room to account for volatility, so you don't get stopped out prematurely.

I'm still recovering from my swing on JETS, the downgrade of two companies brought down the whole damn sector.

LOL, JETS dropped 3% in five minutes today. Probably everyone's stop losses got triggered at once, and now they are buying it back.

Cramer helps on his updates, just do your own research. I don't buy all his ideas...but he makes me question my portfolio construction. And he's stopped me from panic selling when the rest of the market was.
