Started playing this a week before the first D4 beta weekend. I really like the underlying systems the game is built on, but damn.. its all so ugly, the presentation of it all just sucks, imo. Yet, past that, the game is fun. Maybe a bit too close to PoE though. Only reason I'm still playing...

I think the early access content is going to be very limited, like 1 map with randomly placed mobs / items, with 1 boss.

Is there a better item database site to look for items than this place: Last Epoch Item Database I was looking up Staves and they didn't have a complete list of Uniques, as I have 2 in my stash that are not shown on the their list.

Ingame performance was quite a bit worse for the open beta weekend vs. pre order weekend. Quite a bit of rubberbanding and getting hung up on zone crossings.

Barb, at lvl25 (of 100), was very gear dependent. Once you got gear with the perks you wanted, the Barb felt fine. It certainly wasn't as strong out of the box as Sorc. Making sweeping judgements about the game seems a bit pointless, and just comes off as looking for something to criticize...

Was running the Derelict Lodge this morning, ran across a "Mutterlock Chest", which had you select from a list of phrases. Picked the wrong one of course, since I couldn't find anything online about it (Vemp di palox).

I guess my only complaint so far, up to lvl15, is not being able to skip all dialogue that pop up. It seemed I could in the newbie area, but now all the main quests / side quests force me to listen to their dialogue. Pressing space or LMB does nothing now.

Running a 3060 here, high settings, 120-150 fps so far, no stutters. Turned on dlss balanced to test, same fps

Watching Modz on my tv while PC is in queue, he is running around some town hub. Game looks fine, really decent actually, but I don't know if it's Twitch ory tv, but it looks like 30fps or lower. Modz is seeing 120+fps though.

I wouldn't worry too much about what we saw in that vid. It was for the Xbox, and couch co-op, there is an older gameplay vid of Rogue showing the same dungeon and that looks just fine on PC.

Watched some of the raid streams, still the same D2 raid formula; kill trash, solve puzzle, wait for boss to give you a way to kill it. Nice graphics though.

Is there a class with a build where I could run around with a fairly large aoe field that debuffs mobs and explodes the ones I kill? I remember in Wolcen I could have such a class, and it was super fun making huge chain reaction kills.

Not really sure what you're asking for D4 to do that it already doesn't do? You want a way to get a drop that will allow you to alter an existing item, either into something different or add something to that item. In the first case, I don't think D4 has that in a direct form, but it will...

Yea, he is ripping on the game atm saying its just poorly designed, poor animations, etc. Its like he is just saying the game is bad because he was bad at the game. While people who are good at the game, like the game.

No matter how huge D4 is, and it will be... I'd be surprised if Beta Weekends / Launch week don't break Twitch records, it will be their Seasonal content that will shine or fade. I can't see Blizz be capable or willing to put in the effort to have Seasons be as Leagues are to PoE, would be great...

All they needed to do was have a post campaign quest series that has you go out and research wtf just happened and find out about the Veil. I imagine that will come in the various seasons they release this year. I do agree with Byf that it was poorly handled.
