Its the same as speed running any other game to me. The only difference is it takes more coordination and I only get to attempt it once every few years. Server firsts are a given but its not what I care about, its more about doing it faster than we did it last time.

With the exp rates I assume most groups are going to try to push directly to 50 without a break. If the group can't make that happen it's probably best to just catch a four hour nap and come back fresh for another 20 hours which should put you at 50. I'll get you in a group Druss.

Depending on group composition it could be as quick as sub 40 hours. On the slow end I'd expect 72 hours.

We did a 10 hour test grind last night just to see how things looked. Parsing suggests that there is extreme value in having a Mage in the group for the pet dps + nukes. Looking at Mark of the Old Ways (mage pet debuff on raids) it only becomes a huge issue at 9+ pets on the raid mob at a time...
