Helltides are for farming Forgotten Souls (Bosses, Events and Screaming Hell Veins) and Fiendish Roses. Nightmare dungeons are for upgrading your runes in your paragon board. Whisper dungeons are the best for grinding xp. Helltides are pretty decent xp and loot as well.
