There's an app or something called ACT, Active Combat Tracker. I haven't used it, but I think it monitors dps in real time. Not certain. Edit: no addons in this game

Yea, I saw something mentioned in BLM thread over at FFXIV forums. Guy said using B4 was a dps loss. On a side note, when are BLM supposed to use AOE? I've always done it with 3 or more enemies, but read in that same thread that it's 4 or more enemies.

You should have a bunch of potions from doing PoTD, I found myself using those pretty frequently when there wasn't a healer. A pomander of steel for the boss will make it much more survivable as well.

Thanks for the info Kriptini! Are any jobs pariah right now, or are they all in pretty good spots? Figure I'll probably level a couple of jobs over the next two months in preparation for the expansion. I've only got BLM and AST at max.

My buddies and I have been talking about playing this again. One of them has a character in the level 30 range, never finished ARR, and another has finished ARR but never bought Heavensward. Will they both need to do all of HW MSQ to proceed in the upcoming expansion? I figure the answer is yes...
