    2013 Oscar Nominations

    Out of all the best picture nominations Argo was my favorite and any movie with Brian Cranston (well except for Total Recall remake which sucked the big one) is ok with me.

    Recomended Reading Thread

    One series I would highly recommend that I haven't seen mentioned much is Daniel Suarez's Daemon and Freedom(TM), for anyone interested in the internet it has some great future tech and some brilliant concepts about distributed systems, wrapped in a creamy nougat fiction center.

    Patrick Rothfuss Kingkiller Chronicles

    I highly recommend this series, they set a good tone, the pacing is good and for the most part I like all the characters. The world building isn't hugely original like a Sanderson novel might be, but it's fun and keeps you interested.

    Hamilton's Great North Road ended up being pretty good, especially after how drawn out the Pandora's star series got to be. I just got finished reading In Fury Born by David Weber, pretty decent pulp Sci-fi and a good stand alone if you don't have the time to read his Safehold or Honor...

    I would have to say that Changes is by far the best, followed by a close tie between Cold Days and Dead Beat, Ghost Story was by far the odd man out of the series.
