    The Secret World

I remember how excited Funcom was because they had so many people playing the beta. They anticipated upwards of 1.2 million box sales. I think 800k was their break even point. They ended up with less than 600k and went downhill from there. The layoffs began just a couple of months later. Such a...

    The Secret World

Excited about this. They didn't have the funds to keep the MMO alive, so this is the next best thing. This game had the best dungeons ever and the best storytelling and atmosphere.

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

So what someone sends CIG $45-$65 bucks. I buy games that I play for a few hours and then they sit around untouched on my hard drive. I got a buddy that blew 25 grand on a couple of snow mobiles he takes out a few days a year, no one thinks he is crazy, (besides his wife). I got friends that...

MMO's should have servers with different difficulty levels.

Wasn't Wildstar an experiment in bringing back difficult upper level content? I never played past beta, but I know a common complaint was the difficulty of the encounters.

    Everquest - Live Servers

I agree, the players made the game great. You always had the feeling that players had to band together vs a dangerous world. Players got to know each other and there was some accountability. In newer games there is little and lots of players tend to behave badly. As fun as it was, I don't think...

So, some don't want to invest because they think it's a bad deal, but if the game does get released, they don't want anyone that did donate to have any in game advantage.

Tons of vids on YouTube. They just updated from 2.4 to 2.5, so you might be better off watching those vid versions than some earlier ones. There are plenty of people playing it on Twitch as well.

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

I can understand people resenting the insane amount of money RSI is asking people to donate for "ships" for a project that doesn't as of yet exist as a game. How do you know if you will even like playing it when it does finally release? Also, Roberts does have a history of not meeting all his...

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

I am encouraged by seeing the video. I got $80 bucks into this project but that includes both games (Star Citizen and Squadron 42) plus an Orion 315p. I will feel bad if this project doesn't come to fruition. Not so much for the 80 bucks but for all the dreams and effort so many people have put...
