I figured something was going on when I saw he was trending in Baltimore, but I was still shocked to read that he had died. I didn't have a chance to see him often while he was playing (mainly nightly highlights and All-Star games), but he was still one of my favorites. Such a shame to lose him...

Have you tried logging in to your account on the NCSoft website? If you log in from a different IP address than normal, it should prompt you to verify the new IP address. That should (theoretically) let you log in to the game from the hotel.

Ah, OK ... I didn't check the Twitch stream. I just assumed it was the Nirtix chick who had volunteered to learn Unity so she could help Brad make the game. If it's her, I would assume she's given Brad money through the site, since she's been one of his most vocal supporters.

You can also file a support ticket through SOE's website (under the "Category" menu > Account/Billing Questions > Refund). The response I got for my ticket said the refund would hit in five to seven days; mine was credited to my account in three or four days.

In addition to removing that screenshot, someone may want to update the pledge chart at the bottom of the KS page with the Inventor's Pledge ($900) tier information. It currently goes from Guildmaster's Pledge ($750) to Originator's Pledge ($1,000).

That's one of my big problems with this whole thing -- it's been nothing but confusing. It's fairly obvious that there isn't one person who's taken charge and is directing the KS -- instead, everyone is jumping in to every aspect and it's become one big jumble. I assume what that answer about...

That's what I got out of it. But, honestly, the more tiers they add, the more confused I get ... Again, they need a copy editor to go over the entire site, clean up the writing, and ask questions -- LOTS of questions.

Actually, if you read the description, it's exactly the same as the description for the $300 tier, which is slightly different from the $600 tier description.

I've seen more than a few comments from people saying, "If it makes it to [whatever stretch goal they're interested in], I'll pledge."

The one comment I keep noticing is that people don't seem to understand why some things are listed as stretch goals (especially the ranger, druid, and bard classes). Maybe it would help if someone explained the reasoning behind some of the stretch goals?

No, you're definitely not alone on that one. At first when I saw them in WoW, I thought it was cool. But it's just become way too overdone. The quests in FFXIV (especially the public group quests) are a veritable catalog of '80s pop song references -- it's annoying.
