I appreciate Da Bears leaving open the possibility of the Packers winning the division, but to be frank, I'm much rather run into the (current injury depleted) Bears than the Vikings in the playoffs*.
*Which my larger point: maybe its just my bias towards the recent past, but can anyone recall a year where the playoff races** were so decided yet the chances of those playoff teams were so in doubt? I don't trust the current Packers, Bears, Vikings, Ravens, Bengals, Colts, or Seahawks (on the road) in the least, and have doubts about how far the Steelers, Falcons, and even Texans will go.
**I don't believe the hype. Seahawks and Colts all but have slots locked up, so you are looking at just the Steelers vs. Bengals (and Bengals probably need to rely on the Ravens resting rather than taking out a division opponent) in the AFC and the Bears/Vikings/Redskins in the NFC. (Yes, I consider the Giants a lock, they actually have it in their heads now that they need to win some games before the playoffs and are playing accordingly.)
