If the 49ers and Patriots both bring their A games next week it is likely to be the the best regular season football you'll see this year.

My thoughts on the Texans chances of winning a playoff game. Feels bad man.

Just finishing the Pats game now and I didn't expect them to dominate the Texans like that. What a blow out.

They got a couple of more years to try and win another title then it will be interesting to see what happens when Brady leaves if Bellichick retires with him.

As for Gruden, he is my least favorite announcer. I just don't find him particularly fun to listen to and I love it if he got a coaching job that got him the hell out of the booth.

As a 49er fan I'm nervous. The last thing you want to do is play Belichek and Brady at home late in the season in a game you need to win. It's not a must win for SF but it will make the Seattle game the following week a must win if they lose. I think as long as the Smith bros can keep pressure on Brady we have a solid chance but if anyone can find a way to exploit Kaepernick's lack of experience it's Belichek.

So yesterday Joe Montana said on the Dan Patrick show that when he was leaving SF he'd have liked to come to Pittsburgh. They passed because they had Neil O'Donnell. In my mind you will never convince me they wouldn't have won a super bowl with him in 93 or 94.

This brought up the subject of other QB's the Steelers should have/could have had. They drafted and cut Johnny Unitas before he played a pro game. They drafted Len Dawson but he got no run because they also grabbed Bobby Layne when he was a million years old. They passed on local boy Dan Marino because they had Mark Malone.......

Any other teams draft and cut two HoF quarterbacks? People forget what a shitshow the Steelers generally were before the 70's. Worst of all in '69 they signed Ed O'Neill and cut him in training camp. WE COULD HAVE HAD AL BUNDY!

I think I've mentioned this before, but the Chiefs drafted Todd Blackledge over Dan Marino and John Elway in 1984/85. But we did get Montana, Warren Moon, and Ron Jaworski all after they were WELL past their prime playing days. Chiefs FTL.

That's funny, so the Steelers could have had 3 probably top 10 QBs of all time.

Of course San Fran passed on Northern California boy and Cal QB Aaron Rodgers who wanted nothing more than to be a 49er to draft the great Alex Smith. WTG Mike Nolan.

That Cowboys team in 93 is one of the best teams in the history of the NFL, there is no way in hell the Steelers, with an old man Montana, would give them trouble. 94 Niners wasn't too bad either.

One of those "best team ever" Cowboy's squads barely beat the Steelers based entirely on Neil O'Donnel handing the ball to Larry Brown twice. 93 with Montana they would have shellacked those overrated cokeheads by 38, minimum.

That Cowboys team was an under coached shell of the 92' and 93' teams.

That year's draft they just picked backups because Jerry is an idiot and Jimmy was gone at that point.

Because of Free Agency/salary cap finally getting into full swing, they lost a lot of starters from the previous Superbowl teams.

TLDR: 95' Cowboys squad wasn't one of the "best ever". They skated along on talent alone - Montana still wouldn't have made a difference - he was meh in 93 and 94.

Montana still played good with the Chiefs. Montana's probably the best QB the Chiefs ever had even as old as he was.

Oh, Itlan gave me a +1 lol.

Well the Chargers did draft Eli Manning and then traded him for a QB worse the Tony Romo.

No way the Cowboys beat the Steelers if you swap Montana for O'donnel, he fucking threw the ball to Larry Brown two damn times and there wasn't a Steeler around Brown for 20 yards.

Bungals v Eagles on Thurs - I'm thinking CIN makes the playoffs

whoa whoa whoa hold your horses. Eli threatened to sit indefinitely until traded
Doesn't matter still counts!

They also let Drew Brees go, That means they have let 2 of the last 3 QB's to win the SB slip through their hands.

Steelers can lose to Dallas this weekend, but win against Cleveland and Cincinnati and will make the playoffs. I'll take the Steelers just because those last two games are at home. Steelers are 2012's version of the NYG, but they won't win a super bowl with their current o-line. If you have your all-pro center playing left guard...

Shows how much you know! They don't have a "current" O-Line because it's constantly flucuating nature won't allow that term to apply for more than minutes. It might as well be made of wishes and unicorn farts.
