it looked to me like he actually picked it up and tossed it forwards hoping it would go out of the back of the end zone, im not sure if thats even legal. he could have made it look more legit by just diving towards it and punching it out of the back of the end zone.

It's legal to do it but he put barely any zip on it, had the Vikings actually been able to get it before it went out of bounds it woulda been a safety. Which was damn close to happening.
