They are trying WAY too hard to prove that Kaepernick is a "prototypical" NFL QB. Playcalling has been atrocious, but I've always been critical of Roman.

We've never had a good covering secondary, even during the last 2 years of being an elite defense. When the 49ers are getting pressure with 3/4 rushers they look great, but when they don't they get exposed. Its not exactly a new development, it was blatantly evident during all 3 of their playoff games last year, and the last few games of the regular season.

Yeah, but even the run defense has been less than spectacular today. Indy is averaging 4.5 yards per carry at the moment

We aren't tackling. We can't get off the field on 3rd down. We aren't stringing drives together and resting the defense, because we won't stick to the small stuff/run game. Total shitshow. It's no wonder the defense can't get any pressure. They have to be completely gassed.
