That was the story of the saints defense last year. Just when they would finally get a team in a 3rd and way long situation you would think for sure they have them stopped only to give them the first down, every time.

Yesterday on a St. Louis radio station I heard the following by a favorite rock jock here:

Yeah, I thought the Rams were going to be a throne in the side of the rest of the NFC-West this season, but apparently they are only a threat to Arizona.
49ers did what they should have done to a team like that, but really they only played about 1.5 good quarters and still looked out of sync for the rest of the game. Sam Bradford might as well have been a 12th man on the Niners defense last night. Was good to see Gore really get going again though, hopefully they can use the long week to build on that.
Looks like Staley is going to be fine, he thought he had broke his ankle at first (as was screaming more in frustration rather than pain) but was seen walking out of the X-Ray room under his own power without any sign of a limp. That would have been a huge hit to the Niners if he was seriously hurt.

Rams will probably rebound and beat the Jags and finish 5-11. They've already said Sams their guy and have been talking about extending him, but that was before these past 5 brutal days.
Thursday night division games are just retarded. I hope they fire both coordinators and draft a new QB. They also need to ditch Finnegan asap. Chris Long is decent as a pass rusher but completely terrible at run defense, waay way overpaid. I'm not sure what's wrong with the line, these guys should be better than this, I attribute this mostly to Shottenshitter.
This team doesn't have any fire and isn't ready to play week in and week out, that falls on the fucking coaching staff. Get it done or GTFO. The rebuilding period for this team has been 10 fucking years, time to make some progress.
