I have a couple friends at the game right now, they are mentioning on FB it is pretty loud and that people are relentlessly chanting "Detroit Sucks"

Some of them are hockey fans and they are kinda rustled that a chant reserved for the Red Wings is being used on the Lions

No one still cares about your 2-7 or 3-6 team (no one even cares about what their record is) scoring a touchdown in a game that will contribute to their inevitable finish with a 5-11 record and several more decades of striving (but not quite reaching) mediocrity

In Chicago there is only one variant of that chant, it is not used for any other city or in any other sport that I am aware of.

Detroit has a special place in hell in a Hawks fan's mind

haha, the feeling is mutual in Detroit. For awhile there Colorado replaced you guys for our #1 hatred team (fuck I miss those days/fights) but things are back to how they should be.

yeah, they were only replaced because the Hawks were so terrible in late 90s, once the hawks started getting decent again, that rivalry once again became one of the best in NHL.

Though I must say, the Avs/Wings rivalry, short as it was, burned brighter and hotter than hawks/Wings rivalry at any time. Every time you watched a Wings/Avs game in the late 90s, you knew there was gonna be some brawling.
