Because intentional grounding is defined as throwing away the ball with no receivers in the vicinity if within the tackle boxes. Has nothing to do with being hit.

He wasn't trying to throw the ball away, he got hit and it caused him throw the ball errantly. Bears shouldn't even have the fucking ball right now.

They need to stop calling plays where Clemens has to have touch on the ball. Every single one has zero chance.
