Yah, that's about my guess as well. Still laughing about the announcers talking about how the Chiefs were going to need to let the clock run down before they score, and immediately a timeout is called. Though props to San Diego for pulling that out.Chiefs season is done if both Hali and Houston miss significant time with their injuries. Those 2 are leading the NFL in sacks with 20 combined. Rivers had ALL day to throw with those 2 missing. Chiefs still have to face Rivers again in San Diego, Manning again, Andrew Luck, and RG3. Theres 4 more losses for sure without our pass rushers.
10-6, wildcard, 1st round playoff exit.
Well, part of that I'd say is because Manning was getting rid of the ball with a quickness and they knew they had to stuff the rush and they did. I think more than anything that illustrated just how good their offense is in that they could concentrate on protecting Manning and still score.Eh, it's not like their pass rush was good with them in against the Broncos.
I don't think anyone in KC has any illusions about how good the Chiefs really are, and that's why you don't hear many Chiefs fans making Superbowl predictions. We're just happy that we aren't going 2-14 again. We know our offense is mediocre at best, we know that our defense isn't deep enough and that our numbers are misleading thanks to having a powderpuff schedule early on (and some luck). Which is kind of why the KC hate surprises me a little whenever I run into it, people in KC are just ecstatic that we've improved to possibly being just average this year.
