Overall a decent game by Cutler once he got into stride. Still don't think I would pay him the big bucks. Just glad they started him and didn't give into the stupid meathead fans.

For the Bears organization, it is a win-win situation.

If Cutler has a really good game, then he is being show cased for another team that might be interested. The Bears would not have to pay him the big bucks, and if someone wants to take his injury prone ass off their hands... And if nobody takes him away, then the Bears organization could use McCown's stats as a comparison on not having to pay him what he wants.

If Cutler has a really bad game, then the Bears can offer a meager one year contract with the offer he can walk away if he does not accept.

The Bears organization knows it has McCown in their back pocket. The money Cutler would want would be used to rebuild the defense instead. If anything, Trestman's offense appears to show that a journeyman like McCown could be formed into a "good" quarterback; thus drafting a rookie quarterback could be the stepping stones to a future team without having to pay out to an off-again, on-again Cutler.

Of course, I could be way off too.

I really can't understand Dallas' play calls. You are averaging like 10 yards per carry? THROW EVERY DOWN

I don't get the Rams this season. Expect the unexpected?
Rams aren't good enough to play through penalties, turnovers, and bad calls. We also spent the first several games throwing the ball way too fucking much and starting a shitty back. Bradford going down made us run the fucking ball and it improved our team.

Pretty much. I really didn't mind the bad throws, that will happen. My concern has always been his decision making process and if Tresman can improve that with his offense. I also don't know how good his body is anymore after the punishment he took for several years with that pathetic line. Problem is if you let Cutler go, do we go back to having shit quarterbacks again. Remember Mcbackup lit up a historically bad defense. He has done a great job but he isn't enough to win a Super Bowl.

I feel bad for everyone in fantasy playoffs today that had Jamaal Charles happen to them. My brother is one of those unlucky folks. Guess our league won't have back to back Brother vs. Brother championship games.
