Prescott is going to get paid before Elliott. Though I would trade them both personally and tank hard.

I don’t recall hearing you call for trading Philipe since the Chargers are never winning a Super Bowl with him.

He's going to retire soon and he's a fuck ton better than Prescott.

He’s won just as many Super Bowls per your original measurement. But nice try at goal post moving
No goal post moving. I think he's capable of winning a Superbowl and Prescott isnt. The end.

History has overwhelmingly proved you wrong.
Capable doesn't mean you are going too. You are about as smart as I expect the typical Cowboys fan to be.

Personally I hope you max contract all 3. Would be hilarious.

I wonder what Jerrick McKinnon can really do. His 3.8 YPC clip in 2017 was underwhelming, but he did average almost 7 yards per reception, which he had 51 of with only 200 or so overall touches.

570 rushing yards with only one start, 900 plus yards from scrimmage.

What can he do if he got 235 carries? He handled 68 targets, if you added another 20, your talking 875 yards rushing and 62 catches for 600 yards. You combine that with whatever Coleman/Brieda can give you and that rushing attack should be dangerous enough to cause added attention up front.

Kittle, Pettis and Deebo Samuel are more than capable of carrying the passing game along with Jimmy G if they all stay healthy.

Kwon Alexander and Fred Warner are going to light shit the fuck up in the middle of the field. Then you got Bosa and Ford on either edge, with Buckner and Thomas up the middle, with Sherman as the admiral in the back end? If the 49ers dont win 8 games Lynch and Shanhan need to be fired.
You never cease to amaze me. Put out a pretty well thought out post, then finish it with an absolutely retarded statement. Yeah, overhauling the coaching staff and front office once again is the solution. Come on man

Prescott is as capable as Flacco and Dilfer.

Better pay the man then. Of the 3 of them he is the only one they should consider paying. I wouldn't but I wouldn't kill them for doing so.

Zeke, and Gordon are fucking up the future for RBs. Even someone as stubborn and ignorant as Jerrah will think twice before wasting another high pick...on a disposable RB. Hell, teams won't want to deal with the drama from a position that is almost completely interchangeable. The only reason Jerrah has the money right now is because his QB is a 4th round filler option. Even a filler QB will get paid though. For both Gordon and Elliot, the teams stuck by some shitty situations to watch them attempt to buttfuck them afterwards. After what happened to Gurley and the platooning of RBs the past decade+, I wouldn't waste a 1st on a RB. Put that on a more important position...like just about anything else but kicker.

Lynch isnt a commodity. York gave him and Shanahan (another unproven commodity @ head coach) both SIX year deals.

This is year 3. They have no more excuses. I think 8 games is a pretty fair measuring stick for progress and maintaining fan interest. They just won 2 fucking games during an injury plagued season. Lynch hasnt been great in the draft room. If they win say, 5 games this year I definitely think they will be on the hot seat if not out right fired.

Would you rather the team just fucking blow dick until 2023 just so those guys can see their 6 years through? Harbaugh came in and changed the entire culture in one year and turned that team into a Super Bowl contender.

Your basically advocating for a HC to be able to shit the bed for half a decade and still keep his job. Those guys hung their hat on Garoppolo. Passed on Deshaun Watson, Mahomes and others. They got lucky getting Jimmy G from New England, if he cant stay healthy and they dont start winning games, they dont deserve 3 more seasons.

Wow such a high bar for the QB you want starting your team.
Resetting your QB every 4-5 years is a sure fire way to guarantee a Super Bowl. All those 4 year starters winning them year after year after year....

Sticking with Dalton for nearly a decade has really worked out for the Bengals.

And Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl either. But you still haven't pointed out the last QB to win a Super Bowl while still on their rookie contract. (It's been a few years)

Playoffs != Super Bowl. The original measuring stick was Super Bowl. But you keep moving those goal posts around.
Well I can think of a recent QB that won a super and went to another on a rookie contract. I can think of another one that went last year. It happens and if you read the article, teams with low paid QB's are competing for shots at a championship more than any team not named Patriots in the last couple years.

I also made no comments on the article just linked it.

You sure about that there? Better go check their record from last year again.

No, I am not saying they should go unchecked for 6 years. But they took over a team that was devoid of any real talent, and have begun their build. Do I think they need to show some major strides this year? Absolutely. But to make a blanket statement that if they don't win at least 8 games they should be fired is just stupid.

Just like in anything, there is going to be some context to how their season goes. If they aren't able to keep the same secondary on the field for more than 2 games because of injury, that defense is once again going to struggle. If they win 5 games and look terrible doing it, then yes there should be some hot seat talk. If they win 7 games but are close in all their losses, and show real improvement, then I don't think firing should be discussed.

I will agree that Lynch is probably not as well suited for his job as Shanahan is, and if anyone would go it would be him. From everything I hear he is essentially in charge of the picks for the defense, and so far he has missed. However, I think Shanahan is a great coach, and given enough time to mold the team to his vision, they are going to be good. You don't take a team with no talent and turn them into Super Bowl winners in 2 years. Harbaugh came in with a team full of talent, it isn't even close to the same situation.
