Not to derail. No. There might be 10 players who have too much power in the NBA. The rest...not so much.

Agree with you and everyone else. There is no way in hell you pay a running back big bucks any longer unless you are top 3, AND you have a shitty QB. Barkley if he was due, would come to mind. EE also.

Fair point and I agree after thinking about it more. I'll elaborate and say the NBA is a completely different animal and even average players can make an amazing career out of it. We hear also about those 10 constantly because there's a lot of narrative being pushed. The NBA is doing well.

I think this is narrative pushing as well. They use average career of a RB and forget the average career for most positions is not long. The average career is 3.3 years so most people don't make a lot of money if they compare themselves to the cream. Playing RB is tough but there some who are exceptional and have made great money at RB. Emmitt Smith, Marcus Allen, Frank Gore (my favorite current player), even Peterson if he didn't waste all of his money. 100 million wasted is all on him. For these players, maybe the top 3 get paid but there is money for a RB...he just has to last. They will never make WR, QB, DE, or even LT money. They could never do those jobs. Be grateful for your God given talent and show your worth. That's all you'll ever get as a RB.

And if it doesn't work out, go get a job like the rest of us have to. You poor bastard.

I've actually come to embrace my "persona" here. I've been posting here for over a decade, and many people still here are familiar with my posts.

Many enjoy using me as some retard who doesnt know anything about anything and just pile on because its popular to make fun of stupid people.

I've admitted many times that I am indeed a retard, so I concede that, but one thing I've always done is post in earnest and try to contribute in a way the stirs conversation, instead of trying to convince people of shit.

As far as football goes, I'm a die hard Niner fan and am pretty fucking knowledgable. And obviously, if the 49ers win 7 games but had some unfortunate losses while the team showed improvement, then no obviously they shouldn't be fired. Hell, this Shanahan 49ers team has lost a TON of close games. A few points here or there over the course of 2 years could have met 5 or 6 more wins. So it hasnt felt like we are stuck in the mud like with fucking Chip Kelley or the insurance salesman.

But, 3 years of failure is a fucking eternity when that very same team ran through 4 coaches, 4 years in a row. So excuse me if I am conditioned to pull the plug sooner than later.

Edit: I will also ask for forgiveness and eat crow when it comes to George Kittle. I wasnt a fan at first, and was even kind of muted about him after he started tearing shit up.

He is now my 2nd favorite player after Fred Warner. Dude is a fucking beast. He might overtake Kelce as the best TE if Jimmy G can stay healthy. The guy broke records catching balls from dudes named Beathard and Mullens.

Hey now, don't be too hard on yourself. You're really dumb but I don't think you're a full on retard.

Under the new contract, Brady will receive an $8 million raise in 2910, bringing up his salary to a hefty $23 million. The extension also calls for him to earn $30 million in 2020 and $32 million in 2021 - when he will be 44.

I heard that, while the contract is 3 years once the 19 season is over, years 2 and 3 are void, plus he cannot be franchised or transition tagged. So.. it all was a 1 year deal to take 6 million off the cap. Well that and he got an 8 million dollar raise.

The end is nigh...

I cannot like this post enough. There are no words for the joy in my heart......

On Zeke, he's only played 40 of a possible 48 games because of suspension. He almost got another one but he thinks he's owed something after three years. Fuck that dude.

If you are to believe rumors, the Cowboys have offered top 5 pay for Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Amari Cooper

And none of them should get it, heh. Elliot is the most talented and maybe a top 5 RB but he's still an RB.

I hope that’s true. So a good chunk of salary cap is tied to those 3. Good luck!
