Ok serious question: Did some law get passed about beer and ingredients or something? Every single bud light commercial is "no corn syrup!" and my pandora ads for a month or so now have constantly been Bud Light talking about how they're gonna put ingredient labels on their cans/bottles.

No law. Basically it would be the same as a soda company in the US saying "We use REAL sugar, not corn syrup". They're trying to appeal to a market segment that wants less processed, more "authentic" food and beverage. In the beer market, a lot of market share has been lost to the craft beers/microbrews/etc. They want to let people know they're closer to those better beers than their competitors.

Besides, corn syrup is horrible. Shit doesn't metabolize the same as cane sugar and makes you fat.

I thought the FDA put out a new regulation requiring beers to put labels on listing any ingredients that are not normal. Normal is listed as water, hops, malt and grain.
