It is somewhat odd that just that single email was leaked but the NFL specifically said they sent other emails involving Gruden to the Raiders to review. So someone from the NFL purposely leaked that one but not anything else.

I usually blame the the Strength coaches. If it's policy, then it's policy that hamstrings them. I'm not keeping up with the niners, are they all soft tissue injuries like this calf? Because roids can cause those too.

They've fired their strength and conditioning staff a couple of times in the last few years. I have a hard time believing that they're doing things that much differently than the rest of the league. It would be nice if they could find a culprit though because it's awfully disappointing to start the year with a great team and then it's decimated by week 4 or 5 year after year.

This might be the worse case of the "injury" bug in the modern NFL.

Outsid3 of the 2019 SB run year, and even that year they suffered multiple injuries on defense, they have been fucked by injuries since Shanahan took over. Im not saying it has anything to do with him, but something is fucking wrong.

So do I, but when things consistently go this wrong for them year after year? I mean yeah everyone has injuries, it's an intense and violent sport. But to have this many every single year?

All the stuff we're doing to up people's protections seems to be causing more injuries. Perhaps we should do more to protect the players.
