I think MLB officiating is the worst. Followed by NFL and then NBA. NBA possessions happen so often, are so short, and scoring isn't nearly as "impactful" as the other sports for officiating to hold a candle to MLB or NFL. A poorly called PI or roughing call is far more consequential than just about any foul in the NBA.

I think the thing with MLB is with new technology it makes it terribly obvious with missed balls/strikes. Couple that with easy replay fixes, and MLB is pretty bad

Given the 49ers cap projection for next year, and their lack of first round picks for three years, there is almost zero possibility of the 49ers paying Garoppolo 26 million $ to stay on the team in 2022. You dont give up all of that draft capital to sit on 2 years of that asset's rookie contract.

The Seahawks started Wilson in his rookie year AFTER signing a QB for TEN MILLION $ (which is basically like 14-16 million in todays money). Every minute that Lance sits is money and draft capital wasted.

They are also going to have to pay Deebo and Bosa this off season most likely.

You say that as if they won't sign Rodgers in a second this offseason.

You also forget that if Lance isn't impressing anyone, they can always just restructure Jimmy's contract for less.

And the fact that Watt got fucking PAID by the Steelers doesn't bode well, especially since Bosa just surpassed his 2019 sacks already, in week 13.

Man, I remember when a bunch of talking heads were saying the Bills were the new kings of the AFC and had overtaken the Chiefs and Patriots after they blew out the Chiefs in October. Now they're the seventh seed and in danger of slipping out of the playoffs (though I think they rebound). The NFL comes at you fast.

Everyone in the league is mediocre this year. It's strange but it seems to be the case.

And I am not even participating in the discussion.

As a life long 49ers fan, I know when its time to not discuss matters that annoy the shit out of people.

the league is ALWAYS mediocre, just one or two teams will be good "this" year- for the longest time, "this year" turned into ~20 years of being good with the patriots. it is just a few teams are on the high side and some on the low side.

the steelers for years were "good" they just were not better than the Patriots for most of the tenure of rothlisberger as qb
the packers for years were "good" just over the course of rodgers tenure as qb, OTHER nfc teams were as good or better
same for the colts under manning as qb(again patriots better), etc etc
the one team that tended to have the PATRIOTS number was the Ravens.

for YEARS the browns sucked, for YEARS the jets etc etc etc.

the NFL wants every team to be able to beat any other team on any given sunday, and this is what we get. on any given sunday- with minor exceptions, any team can lose or win depending on how they play.

Bills beat chiefs then next week chiefs beat the chargers then the chargers beat the bills...and all 3 lose to the ravens, but the ravens lose to the jaguars, and texans both of whom lose to the other 3 teams which team is better?

coaching matters. GOOD coaching Matters.

A few years ago the patriots o-line coach retired (scarnechia) and their o-line SUCKED under the new coach. he came back as a consultant and within a week -WITH THE SAME PEOPLE ON THE LINE- the line suddenly was good. Was that the players or the COACH?

on to homer time

patriots control their playoff destiny now.
win the rest of the games = bye week.

the colts on saturday night next week will be imo their hardest test to date & for the rest of the year, the colts are playing imo the best currently among all the AFC teams.

Lol, I don't know about the Colts being best among the AFC teams right now. They're 4-2 in their last five games, okay, but they've crushed a spiraling Bills team, lost to the Bucs and Titans, and beat the fearsome trio of the Jags, Jets, and Texans. I'm sorry, that resume doesn't scream "best in the AFC".

The jab doesn't stop you from catching covid, it doesn't stop you from spreading covid, and the claim that it lessens symptoms is unsubstantiated because not nearly enough time has passed for proper analysis of the data. We also don't yet know the long term effects of injecting people with rushed, experimental mRNA therapy aside from a significantly increased chance of heart problems like myocarditis.

They make that same claim for the flu shot and it goes basically unchallenged. It's had plenty of time to collect data, but the problem is no one collects it. It's too hard to account for all the people who get mild symptoms and ignore it.
