You still put them back 15 yards or whatever, and if he runs he kills off extra crucial seconds

That's if you can guarantee it's going to land there. Also brings up chance of an actual TD return which would have everyone saying it's 13 seconds just kick it out of the end zone. Don't get me wrong, it could be done, but it doesn't sound any more guaranteed/safer than NOT giving up 45-50 yards in 2 plays/13 seconds.

Welp, literally every team I was pulling for to win the SB lost in stunning fashion. Literally.every.one. As a student of the game I enjoy watching games where I don't care who wins, though, so the next three games will be easier emotionally, I guess.

I just don't want to Chiefs to win so we can avoid another coronation round of Mahomes, sweet mother. Which guarantees they win the SB now. I will take that as the cosmic trade-off, I guess.

Hopefully this will lead to a change in OT rules. I don't understand why both teams do not get at least one possession on O
Actually the more I think about it the more I wonder why the networks haven't pressured the NCAA into adopting the NFL's overtime rules.

I like the idea of each team getting a possession, but the college rule where they get the ball on the opposing team's 25 yd line or whatever? Fuck off with that gay shit.

I'm ok with it as is. It's not overtime till the offense fails, it's overtime till one team fails. I don't like the idea of the field goal extending it either

Full 10 minute overtime periods regardless of who scores first and how. Then you get the 2 minute madness over and over.

What if each team got a shot from the 50 in OT? Defense still matters but both high powered offenses get a chance 🤷‍♂️

Mostly my dreams came true. No Rodgers, no Brady. I do feel for the NFC team that has to go against the AFC winner tho.

Game of the year starts in 5 minutes.

This aged well. I don't want to be a prisoner of the moment but I think Mahomes and Allen are officially the best QBs in the league now. I don't watch many Bills games but damn did Allen look like a stud tonight.

I’m still processing the loss and all the blah blah blah.

The only thing I can take solace in is that this was the true Super Bowl of what I think are the two best teams. What a game. Remember when people thought the bills were idiots for taking Allen over Rosen?

Fucking Rosen?

I was one of them. We’ve been talking localllg how this might be the new Brady vs Manning so far, let’s hope we get the one at least getting passed the chiefs

Sadly Allen is the Manning. Let’s see where it goes.

Mahomes is def top. Allen has a way to go and if he keeps running like he does how long until it catches up to him.

I'll have to watch more of the Bills with him to see but he needs to be careful, he should not be running until he gets tackled like tonight

Allen played lights out tonight. Both teams made incredibly amazing plays on offense. This won't be the last we see of Allen.

Burrow put up comparable stats to Mahomes and Allen while taking snaps behind a line of turnstiles. He was more accurate and had fewer overall turnovers than either of them.

Burrow 2021 stats: 16 games | 70.4 pct | 4,611 pass yds | 8.9 ypa | 34 pass TD | 14 INT | 118 rush yds | 2 rush TD | 5 fumbles

Mahomes 2021 stats: 17 games | 66.3 pct | 4,839 pass yds | 7.4 ypa | 37 pass TD | 13 INT | 381 rush yds | 2 rush TD | 9 fumbles

Allen 2021 stats: 17 games | 63.3 pct | 4,407 pass yds | 6.8 ypa | 36 pass TD | 15 INT | 763 rush yds | 6 rush TD | 8 fumbles

Herbert 2021 stats: 17 games | 65.9 pct | 5,014 pass yds | 7.5 ypa | 38 pass TD | 15 INT | 302 rush yds | 3 rush TD | 1 fumble

The two old men, for reference

Brady 2021 stats: 17 games | 67.5 pct | 5,316 pass yds | 7.4 ypa | 43 pass TD | 12 INT | 81 rush yds | 2 rush TD | 4 fumbles

Rodgers 2021 stats: 16 games | 68.9 pct | 4,115 pass yds | 7.7 ypa | 37 pass TD | 4 INT | 101 rush yds | 3 rush TD | 3 fumbles

Also there is no defenses right now that look like what Steelers or Ravens had in the day. That wasnt even close to Seahawks, broncos or Niners there SB playoff runs 9 years ago

Damn I don’t wanna see the Niners or Rams in the SB. Would be awesome for the Bengals but I don’t see them stopping the Chiefs.
