Bills defense still failed Allen. Guy allowed 13 seconds and the coaches fucked up. They were still rushing 4 when there was no way Mahomes was going to hold on the ball, use a run play, or get sacked. Having 9 guys in coverage might have left out the giant holes Mahomes found in the defense that ended the game. End of game defense was a failure all weekend. Buffalo calling two timeouts in a row for Reid to set up seems really stupid too. You still fucked up, and still gave him time to fuck you up.

Look at the brilliant QB play by Josh Allen, Burrow, Stafford and Mahomes....then look at Jimmy Garoppolo.....

LOL. But yeah Kirun, this guy is a good QB.

There is also going to be HUGE emphasis on teams practicing late game situations as well as making it a point to really bleed clock down to basically zero if possible, every time when playing a dangerous opposing QB. The Chiefs still had 2 timeouts, which was the only reason they were able to pull that off at the end of regulation. That was brutal though for Bills fans...after that awesome throw by Allen to take the lead with 13 seconds left....you have to think its over....and then bang 2 quick passes and a FG later and your season is done.

(whats even more insane, is Garoppolo was the one who kind of started the late comeback trend with the late drive against the Rams to win the game on a FG, and then has been terrible ever since.)

Football is so cruel.

So at least 7-8 more years of dominance and then one season that was still good but not up to previous standards where he misses the first games over that span? Doesn't sound that bad. And that's assuming Andy Reid decides to completely neglect the offensive line like Pete Carroll did.
7-8 more years of "dominance"? Sure, if you call 2 SB appearances and 1 win "dominant", I guess. Good? Definitely. Great? Probably. "Dominant"? Ehh...

If the Chargers ever get a team/coach around Herbert and Denver gets a QB, we'll see what happens with that "dominance". Not a surprise that all the "dominant" teams out of the AFC in the past decade came from shitshow divisions. Meanwhile, the NFC West has represented the NFC in 5 of the last 10 Super Bowls.

He's a good enough QB, and like Kirun said the best the Niners have had since Young. He plays above the Dalton-Bridgewater line which is usually the best you can hope for in the modern NFL.

The thing that really bothers me is Mahomes will get all the credit for the terrible defensive playcalling of Buffalo during those thirteen seconds.

He still threw a fucking dot to Kelce with a pass rusher almost up his ass to make it happen.

I mean it's both of those things. He was awesome and Buffalo had some shit schemes at the end.

I mean, why wouldn't he? He and kelce exploited what the Bills showed and prospered.

I mean, what do you want? If you're going to make the standard of dominance Tom Brady, then yeah, everyone's gonna fall short. In terms of QB excellence, yes, Russell Wilson was dominant most all of those years.

Herbert runs almost as much as Mahomes and get sacked more. Guess he'll be a walking corpse in 3-5 years too.

If Mahomes wins another one this year, I'd say he has definitely stepped into the realm of "dominant".

It's still "easier" to dominate in that dogshit division he plays in though. I hope Denver scoops up Jimmy G. Between him and Herbert, you guys won't have a free 6 wins anymore.

Denver gonna hire the Packers OC then trade for Aaron Rodgers. I think the Saints are probably the best situation of a place looking for a QB and a weak division but doubt the Packers trade in conference?

Aren't the Saints in cap hell, though? That could make things rough. I forget how easily they can dump Taysom Hill's contract.

Eh, I'd argue Washington is better off than the Saints. Weaker division (unless Brady hangs it up), strong defense, solid coach (people forget that he led fucking Cam Newton to a SB), and a better cap situation.

the Saints definitely aren't moving on from Squinston yet, he was looking quite a bit improved before he got knocked out of the season.
