Hilarious how both Watson and Rodgers probably want to go to Denver. Frankly I think that team is pretty stacked outside of a QB.

They're not far off from where they were when Peyton went there, other than being weaker on the defensive side of the ball. Then again maybe the defense is that good but the offense has been severely holding them back. Kinda like the Bucs in 2019 compared to 2020.

Someone is going to end up paying all those fines and it wont be Rodgers.
So because he's veteran it's against the CBA to waive those fines. The Packers have to fine him the $50k a day.

Once again, I'm guessing the money doesn't matter to him that much, but it's gotta sting.

Yeah but someone is going to give him a big fat contract and pay for all of that. Might even be Green Bay.

I think if some of their drafting works out this year and the FA signings they made, that D might be back up to top 5 in the league level. I don't think it was just the offense holding the Bucs back in 2019. Winston had some effect, but 29th in points against and 30th in passing yards against tells a bigger story.

Winfield and that secondary becoming a little more experienced all helped last year.

I dunno man, -13 as a team turnover ratio pretty heavily fucks the stats. Surprisingly the avg starting field position was only about a ~3.5 yd difference. I do agree they wouldn't have been as good as this season, not even close, but Brady on that team in 2019 would have made a huge difference. Fucking *SIX* games with 4 or more turnovers. Some of those were surprisingly close losses too. A 3 and 4 point loss and somehow a win over the Colts even with 4 turnovers.

A lot of those surprisingly close losses were more on the field goal kicker in my opinion. Danny Dimes first career "W", when Winston hit Evans deep to set up a chip shot winner...missed. Some OT loss later in the season where kicker went 0 for 3 in regulation on FG's. Obviously Brady and everything else, but Succop only missing 3 field goals all season last year and being perfect in the playoffs underrated improvement.

That turnover ratio was bad, but teams knowing they could attack the secondary felt like the biggest part of it. That game against Daniel Jones and the Giants just one example. Winston only 1 pick in the game, throws for 380 and 3 TD's. Up 28-10 at halftime. Gallman and Saquon combining for 23 yards on 13 carries. But Jones brings them back in the 2nd half with 22 points (336 passing yards, 4 total TD for Jones in the game). Didn't help Gay missed 2 XP and the potential game winning 34 yard FG in a 32-31 loss...but yeah.

Yeah everyone makes it out like it was just Brady, but they lost 3-4 games to straight garbage kicking. That's just unreal.

I mean, they weren't going to win the Super Bowl with Winston or anything, but if they have even decent kicking that team still wins 9 or 10 games in 2019.

Right. they're a 10 win team and in the playoff mix. Obviously Brady not turning the ball over almost 40 times is a big help, but it's not like the team was trash before he got there.

Succop was our 2nd best FA pickup other than Brady that year. We've had a shit-show at placekicking for over a decade

Letting Matt Bryant go was one of the worst mistakes they ever made. On that same note, I had completely pushed the kicking woes from my memory. I legit forced myself to forget. I do agree you fix kicking there's a few more W's in there, even with Winston.

At least you guys didn't have it as bad as it seems like the Chargers have had with kicking over the years. That just feels like an actual level of hell.
