Correct. And I would think that would seriously hinder any trade movement until he can pass a physical. But who knows.

A running back can absolutely carry you to the post season in today's NFL, just look at Derrick Henry.

A running back absolutely cannot carry you to the Super Bowl in today's NFL, just look at Derrick Henry.

To the game, or an actual win? Jimmy G having to only throw 8 passes in the NFC Championship game when Mostert had like 230 yards rushing was kind of a thing.

Also a big reason why Henry fits both of those lists is because if you HAVE to give your star RB 350+ touches to get you to the playoffs, you can't expect him to handle it another 30+ carries a game for 3 or 4 more games in a row.

They got to the playoffs without Henry this year. Tannehill has been a fairly reliable QB ever since he escaped Miami.

It's still amazing to me that Gase ended up with as much of a career as he did as a coach in this league just because he was incapable of ruining Peyton Manning.

a great running back can GET you to the superbowl IF you have a great defense.

however, imo a balanced offense gives you the best chance to WIN the superbowl with a great defense.

conversely, the way the league is trending it is going to be pass pass pass pass...

Whoa, I have to sit down for this. So a RB can get you to a super bowl as long as you have a dominant defense as well?

And then having a dominant defense with a great running game and great passing game is even better yet?

Are you sure on this? Have you checked the numbers that being great at everything gives you the best chance?

All Elway's job was, was to simply helicopter.

And TD put up 1700+ & 2000 yard seasons when they won back to back Super Bowls. You couldn't stop him.

Davis was great, but didn't Denver have a few year run where every RB they put out there, backups rookies whatever just tore it up?

Seemed to me like the RBs got all the credit when it was likely the line or scheme or whatever had a lot to do with it

Mike Shanahan was the coach so yeah, he and his son are known for scheming up a great running game, not that having a great running back doesn't make that easier.

Yeah, I think with Davis it was a mix of both. He was legit a good RB, but he got put into an absolutely perfect environment for him to succeed the way he did. I don't think he approaches 2k yards if he was drafted by someone like the Jaguars or Browns at that time.

Without a good line, good QBs can't do much either.

Read an article talking about them ditching Cooper but also mentioned they want to sign Gallup to a long term deal. Didn't mention Wilson or what they had planned there.

Good luck Miami it looks like you hired a stoner to be head coach.

McDaniel is a weird guy. On the plus side, if the helmet radios go down, the QB can just put him in his pocket and let him call plays from there.

You'd think Tennessee is definitely the easiest path to the playoffs. AFCN and AFCW have a lot of competition.

Getting to the playoffs is a thing, but I think more for Rodgers it's winning in the playoffs that's become the issue.
