Jesus Christ $35 milion isn't even expensive for a QB in 2022.

It was $35m this year, now it's $40 and they are now tied to him for another year at $35 with a no trade clause.

Maybe they are paying Cousins knowing he will suck so they can grab a qb next year in the draft? IDK what the Vikings are doing. They are retarded.

Cousins won't suck "enough" for that, though. Honestly he doesn't even suck overall, he's an above average QB. He's just not top tier.

It honestly blows my mind. This was a 4th round pick that the Redskins never truly wanted but he's milked them and the Vikes for an astounding total overall, especially considering the ROI from those deals.
So I get the whole shitting on Cousins thing. But the reality is, in today's NFL, he is an above average QB. And in a QB driven league, that is going to get you paid big bucks.

Cousins is fine. He isn't Brady or Rodgers, he isn't going to carry you to a SB, but he is absolutely "fine". Is he overpaid for his talent level? Probably. Is he vastly overpaid against what NFL QB's are paid in general? Probably not.

True but this guy has managed to pull off things most other QBs haven't. Most sign a long contract that gives the team a baseline of what the position will cost over time. He's forced these teams to do short term contracts at his price. He ensured he couldn't be traded, maxed his deals, took advantage of everything. It's pretty amazing how well he's handled it over the years.

I knew Brady was coming back. Now I have something to look forward to when the lightning get knocked out first round this year.

Making $5m less than Patrick Mahomes is being vastly overpaid when you are Kirk Cousins.

God, I hope Kirk Cousins never catches a 1-year heater like Joe Flacco and we are saved the "is he a hall of famer" talk for like 5 years. He should have been a career backup and just happened to play for shitty franchises that have had no better options.

Good start for the Bengals getting the line in order.

Bengals off to a great start. RG locked up in Cappa and LG/C set with Karras. Also resigned BJ Hill. This makes the draft better for us in that we can probably go for BPA instead of getting cornered into picking OL.

Bengals have improved the team immediately.

Sucks the 49ers lost Tomlinson, but no way they could afford to keep him. So it looks like they are hoping Aaron Banks will be NFL ready next year.

Also, Christian Kirk about to get paid.

Edit: Apparently it is up to $84M

That deal is insane. He’s been the third best receiver in his team and is getting paid WR1 money. Hope it works out for the Jags.
