Whew lad, nothing stopping a player from leaving and enrolling at another university mid-season? Yikes.

CFB is gonna be an absolute disaster before long.

Well, institutions don’t allow enrollment mid-semester.

regardless, the NCAA is useless. It’s time to make a real league with employment agreements.

what a clusterfuck. at least the CFB season takes place almost entirely during the fall semester, though i guess people could transfer during the bowl season.

Sounds like you could in theory, leave mid season then enroll for the next semester where you are going and still be eligible. Im not completely sure on that but sorta seems like it

Those rules can be easily bent, especially when boosters get involved.

I want Notre Dame to win so badly it's hard to describe. Not just because I like Notre Dame, but I cheer for anyone playing Ohio State. Shit, I even cheer for Michigan when they play Ohio State...do you know how hard it is to cheer for Michigan?

However, I hold out very little hope. Just basing that on the last 30+ years. Sigh.

It's entirely possible. Remember when BSU beat OU. What a great game.

I want to see teams that make the playoffs next year start bidding wars for the elite players from non-playoff teams. Seems like something desperate Texas oil-men would come up with.

Fuck

That

Game

No one remembers that OU was starting a converted wide receiver at QB, Paul Thompson, because Bob Stoops dismissed our starting 5-star QB Rhett Bomar because he was getting paid under the table at a car dealership by getting clocked in when he was not there. It took two trick plays and just some retarded defense for that game to be won; and even then, we had a DB intercept a pass with less than a minute less and returned it for a TD. If he would have kneeled it out we could have just kicked a field goal as time expired to win, but you cannot ever have that level of foresight in the moment during a INT.

It was a great game, much fun was had. Instant classic that should be played on some ESPN channel at least once a week. Boise St’s Qb was even made the cover athlete of the NCAA football video game the next year for it.

I'm mostly surprised at how well that ND offensive line did on that drive. They seemed to be the bullies after the 1st play.
