I'm sure no one cares, but I figure I'd mention it.
Near here is Bristol, Rhode Island, home to one of the oldest, or the first actually I think, 4th of July parades. Needless to say its a pretty big deal.
The middle line on the road along the route is painted red, white and blue and all kinds of good stuff. A lot of the houses along the route do special stuff or at least hang flags and such.
Anyway, this year some guys put together a big mock up of the Iwo Jima memorial on their front lawn, it is pretty amazing looking.
