Well, they grew up watching stuff like the Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island that make today's sitcoms look absolutely hilarious.

when you are super smart its nice watching really dumb shows you can just turn your brain off and don't even have to think about laughing, its all cue'd for you with laugh tracks

you average intelligent people just wouldn't understand

two of my favorite shows to watch when I am stressed out is Hogan's Heroes and The Beverly Hillbillies, shit is cash

My dad isn't "super smart". Not by a long stretch. I just thought he was somewhat intelligent. However, his TV practices are that of a mouth breathing Neanderthal.
