The video service deleted more than 2 billion fake video views in the channels of Universal, Sony, and RCA, according to Daily Dot. The decision apparently was made when YouTube found out that the companies were using view building services hired from sites such as Fiverr to create video views that never existed.

I had moved to morenetz when the malware/drama was kicking in, and then had a busy period of a couple weeks and when I got back I got a blank page for morenetz and "sorry folks" for foh. It took me a while but finally I found rerolled via google in January.

Edit: I actually am happy I found this thread, though, as I was always curious as to the how and why this all went down like it did.
