Do you have any example news stories about English children stabbing others? I don't follow that self-immolation a lot.

"In 2023-24, 53 of 64 homicide victims aged between 13 and 19 - or 83% - were killed with a sharp instrument, according to figures published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Thursday.

That is significantly higher than the proportion of knife homicides for all age groups, which was 46% for the same period."

Generally its irrelevant anyways its not a show about a stabbing epidemic in the UK, if there is one.

I have no idea because its not about that. The method of the murder is not a salient point in the show other then people are horrified that a girl was stabbed, it wasn't a commentary on knife violence as a whole. There was noone saying "We need more knife control" like you would see in a lazy show set in the US saying we need more gun control.

So you have an opinion on whether or not this piece of media accurately portrays the general occurrence of crime in the UK, but not the data which would inform that argument? Interesting.

I don't have an opinion on it because this show isnt a statement on knife crime in the UK. If the method of the murder was the point of the show then you would have a point, but it wasn't

Look if you cant differentiate between Inspired by and Based On I cant help you.

I am inspired by school shootings to tell a story of what drove a fictional kid to shoot up a fictional school who was white cause I want to star in it as the dad

I am making a movie based on the kid that shot up Uvlade in Texas HOWEVER I am making him black cause I am a black and want to star in it as the kids dad.

Got it? Ok.
if you can't differentiate between telling a story, and hamfistedly churning out propaganda to social engineer a horrific socialist utopia, i can't help you. are you retarded?

why are you fighting to the death on this retarded hill

"NETFLIX JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE RACE SWAPPED IN AN INFALMITORY WAY THIS TIME. IT'S A COINCIDENCE T HEY DO IT CONSTANTLY AND CONSISTANCY. LOL YOU GUYS. LOL. LOL RIGHT GUYS".

Didn't Idris Elba just go on a rant about how not all knives need pointy ends? I don't think we're gonna make it, folks.

I don't live in UK nor I was born there, but to me Adolescence is rather about "what's going on" than "why did it happen". Besides than giving an established opinion about crime in UK, it proposes an, in my opinion, quite solid view of crime consequences. How it affects people, communities and society.

I won't argue about knife crime in UK, because I think it's not what the show is about. I mean, they went one-take cinema leagues showing us how an individual's actions affects other people's lives. Calling out Adolescence a manifesto about knife crime in UK is like watching Fight Club and wondering about its soap business.

Did the show have any racial narrative in it at all?

These type of shows are usually pretty blatant about it, especially when the evil person is white. If not, then thats good. Just asking.
