This niche is starting to take off and figured we needed a thread for it. Here is some AMS2 content with the BMW M1 Pro Car at classic Interlagos (Video looks like shit when not in 4k for some reason even though it was recorded in 2k, I'll have to figure that out). Calling out

EDIT: I wanted to add more to this but wasn't sure what to say so here it is.
The technology is here, if you love motorsport and racing now is the time to dip in and check it out. For those like me that may love cars but things haven't turned out the way you expected to in life and Covid completely fucked all your plans in life this is the answer. Being able to strap in with friends every Sunday and do an hour of two of racing is just incredible. They've nailed how the cars feel, the braking, the changes in altitude the loss of grip, It's all there and in spades.
You can now experience the Nürburgring in a GT3 or classic Spa in a vintage F1 car, it is surreal and I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. I was a never an older car fan (1950s - 1970s) but after driving some of them they are by far my favorite cars to drive. There is just nothing like man-handling a Group 5 BMW 320 Turbo with 600hp and brakes the size milk bottle tops or driving James Hunt's McLaren around a vintage track with other F1 cars inches from you. Hell, I've even come around to Nascar after experiencing it myself and seeing the completely different type of racing strategies used and how the smallest mistake means the race.
Dipping into this hobby can start at a few hundred bucks to millions depending on your budget and what you want to spend. I recommend a cockpit, direct drive wheel and load cell pedals. I started off with a Thrustmaster T128 to see if I'd enjoy it and immediately bought a cockpit and a Moza R5 bundle. I'm maybe 3k USD in on everything and it is the best purchase I have made in my lifetime in lieu of an actual race car. If anyone is interested and has questions please ask them here so you don't end up shooting yourself in the foot with poor purchases. Even only being 3k in there are only a few things I want to change and I'll be happy with my setup forever.
