Content of the trailer makes it look like more andor, so I'm pumped. But yea, the trailer's feel was a bit weird. Perhaps they are trying to get the attention of new people. Anyone who watched andor 1 and 2 is gonna probably automatically be in on this.

Literally the only thing Star Wars worth looking forward to. It is really sad. Hopefully it keeps the same quality of the first season.

I mean, it still looks fantastic (and expensive), with not a Volume in sight and a ton of extras, but you do have to admit their marketing department has a tough sell on this one -
"We know you didn't watch the first season, because we wouldn't have to advertise to you if you did, but come watch the second (and final) season of a midquel where you know half the cast is dead two days after the season ends!"

Agreed, it's a challenge. Given it's their actual job though, they should be able to spin a negative into a positive and make that the very appeal of coming to watch in the first place.

I got like 3 episodes into the first one and just didn't grab me. I didn't even really like rogue 1. It just seemed like another watered down 7 samurai rip off, just like rebel moon. Although rebel moon had enough eye candy to pull me through it.

I liked Rouge 1, it was better than it should have been given all the other things surrounding it. I have not watched Andor S1, so is S2 the final one that links into R1's start?
I do not know the characters if they made any that are not known to be dead at the end of R1 - but they could, perhaps, continue with the "side" events of Episode 4 time frame and continue - with a form of a refreshed (not special edition!) Episode 4 playing in the background.
However, to do so, would take good writing, care, subtlety and love for the source... so never mind!

Trying to make it seem more upbeat and relatable to people who havent watched season 1. This show must be a nightmare to market to average joe viewer. Hey mom and dad put on this Star Wars product for you 10-13 year olds! They would be bored, terrified or traumatized. Like the have the nerd audience locked in, they just need to reach people who like good writing and acting but dont really feel one way or another about Star Wars (like my wife). That trailer is more for that segment then for us, we were watching it even without a trailer.
