Man, this is one of those Saturday morning cartoons I remember watching but can't conjure anything but the vaguest impressions of. It's maybe first time I ever came across a WILL THEY GET HOME story arc.
I still hate that trope.

So listening to the Muppet Babies theme, as I got older I always thought it was about a woman fostering a bunch of kid rape survivors that used to retreat into their imaginations during rape time and PTSD flashbacks.
