I'm absolutely baffled by the praise in this thread. I can't tell if it's legitimate and I'm missing something, or if they're being sarcastic.
That's not to sad it was a bad movie. In fact, I'd say it was a good movie. It kept my attention the entire time. Is this just a comment on the tits and ass? I mean, yeah, she's got a smoking body and I could watch her prance around naked all day.
Mikey absolutely did give a great performance. I'm not sure what other actresses will be up for awards this year, but she probably deserves one. But the story itself seemed...not really slapstick...but maybe absurdist comedy? Everything with the Armenian trio was hilarious. But I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to take away from this.
People said it's all about the ending scene, but, who the fuck is surprised by a broken stripper? Others say it's a commentary on the class divide, but is it really? Like, sure, in the overarching aspect I suppose it is, with Ivan and his family on one end and everyone else on the other. But the story doesn't really spend any time there. Instead the bulk of it is the three stooges saying ridiculous shit in broken English.
