I've never understood playing with an inverted mouse. That just seems so bizarre to me. It's not a fucking flight simulator.

Not alot to understand, its like skateboarding and pushing with your left or right leg, writing with your left or right hand, just naturally works better for you. I think for me (originally 20 years ago, playing Doom and Duke nuke'em) its i didnt want to to get used to 2 sets of controls, one for space sims etc, and another for FPSs. Regardless its a pretty standard feature and unforgiveable not to have this in at launch. Not just for me personally but in a business sense, i am actually skipping giving this company 50$ because of this, who knows how many 50$ they arent getting, too. On the forums thats the best they could come up with "This is definitely the most-requested technical addition of Alpha. Don't have a window but we're aware of the demand for it." and apparently people have been requesting this since april. There is 0 commitment to anything in that sentence.

Anyhow i couldnt care less if the solution comes from Trion or somewhere else, hopefully i can get some feedback on that BLAA thing and use that if it works, cuz i was hyped about starting to play with people here.

Couple questions.

Will this still be playable on Steam at release?
How much of an issue is the limited labor points thing for a more casual player?

If you're just going FTP, I'd grab the game from archeagegame.com. They have their Glyph installer which works nicely and works like the Battle.net Launcher. I missed the open beta, but I'm assuming this will keep it up to date for you and make it so you don't have to log-in every time you play.

The labor points thing - from what little I've read / seen, EVERYTHING takes labor. Even identifying items. I suspect it'll get pretty annoying, but I also bet people will pretty soon (if it's not already out there) create a simple bot to keep your toon online so that F2P guys regen labor still. I suspect if you're not really interested in farming or building, just leveling and killing crap, as a F2P you'll probably be fine. But no house of course. Getting a boat may be a pain in the ass because of the materials you need? A lot your gear will have to come from your guild or the AH though, since you won't be able to create anything. Not that I know much about how the gear system plays out in regards to quested vs crafted. The top end stuff seems to definitely be crafted.

So fun thing happened this morning. Our purchase of the Silver pack triggered a fraud alert on our bank cards and they were locked. Apparently Trion is on a watchlist of sorts for fraud.

I think labor is overblown. Unless you're really into crafting, you'll probably be fine. The first week or two you'll likely find yourself short on it but after that you'll be looking for ways to burn it up. After I stopped crafting in the betas, I basically would just destroy 2-3000 labor on tax certs. Since you don't even need tax certs as a F2P, I don't know what you'd want to do with it.

And Bruman, they removed the identifying items labor requirement. The coin purses are the only items you'll get that require using labor.

Might have to do with all the reversed charge requests hitting the banks on this game.

Yeah this is common for MMOs. Basically a lot of gold sellers collect stolen credit cards, then buy accounts with them and use them to spam chat channels, run bots etc.

Not sure honestly, I think if you want to do a lot of crafting it'll be a problem. If you just want to play the game, quest, do PvP etc it'd be fine. Personally I think having to blow my LP is a nuisance.

As for F2P accounts, I think you can enjoy the game with a f2p account especially if you're in a large guild. You can join a family, grow, reap and craft shit on their farms, bind in their homes, ride on their boats etc etc.

How many active people do you think PRX will have on headstart, then at launch?

Just curious if this is more of a "20-30 people" guild, or more like 50-60, 100+, etc (and I realize it tapers off over time of course).
