To get max level? Trivial, it's like ~30 hours?

To get best in slot gear? It's nearly impossible to get it without paying anything, and would take many weeks and hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy. Best in Slot gear is NOT an option in this game.

Don't forget Labor + Vocational Potions (Doubles xp gained from labor spent)

Also don't forget you can switch to a throw away character to bypass the character based 12hr cooldown on the account based labor pot.

Id like to know the number of head starters too. Then try to approximate how many will be on at launch time (ie took work off/unemployed ), then guess how many per server, how many per faction, how many who will be rushing to claim land, and what areas they are aiming for

I wish I remembered specifics, but I remember some study happening for a WoW expansion (I think), where they totaled up how much time people took off work along with their income, and put a dollar amount to what it cost the corporate world, heh. It was pretty amusing.

How polished is this game currently? It looks very appealing and seems to run smooth in the few videos I've seen, but I don't know what kind of gear these dudes are running.

It's been out in Korea and Russia for almost 2 years, so it's pretty damn polished. There are occasionally some graphics issues on terrain, but for some reason I only noticed that in the noob zones.

Honestly, the only bitching people seem to have is due to dumb decisions by Trion in porting it to us.
