Okay, maybe not, heh. But to back up what Slaythe said - I find myself getting distracted from the quest hub grind quite a bit. I enjoy the distraction every 1.5 hours to farm up 'shrooms. I ended up doing a lot of mining last night too which was weirdly fun. I think having TeamSpeak made it so. I can't stand grinding things like that in WoW, for example, where my guild is dead now.

That's fucking awesome. I was there when someone (you?) put out the call for help in TS, but I had to get to bed unfortunately. How many trees did the guy end up getting, and how many got donated to the guild?

So whos starting free tomorrow and knows a bit what theyre doing? I havent done my "Homework" yet on the game and never played archeage, but im not bad at all at games so if im blitzing with someone that knows what theyre doing im most likely going to keep up and make shit go fast as well. Im going to roll a reaper, and probably gonna spend an hour or 2 reading guides before the floodgates open. If anyones interested in blitzing together, even if youre like me and never actually played the game leave me a private msg or post here ill keep reading the thread periodically till tomorrow.

If you guys roll west kyrios, you have my support, (finances and question answering)

East and you may be able to get Tucos support. (I'd recommend lining up to do this instead of West at this point)

I got in PRX before wednesday so ill be rolling on East and a cat, not sure how far cats and humans are apart when you start out.

Managed to rush land and hit 50 below the 36 hours cap. It's a shame leveling punishes groups so muchn recolt quests should validate everyone's quest. Anyway, time to take a shower and wash the pee bucket.

Cats are 1 zone away from the level 10 quest hub where you'll start seeing harani (humans)

You're forever enemies at this point. Humans/Elves are west and Kitties/Children are east. But you'll be with us in PRX - I definitely recommend reading the PRX forums for some great guides. At this point the land rush is long gone, so really, just start questing and playing, and feel free to ask questions in TeamSpeak. Main thing is, while questing, make sure you do the green exclamation quests - they give gilda stars that you'll want (used to buy houses and other neat shit). Also, I'd recommend feeling 100% free to skip quests, skip entire sections of zones, as much as you can. I think it's faster to go to more challenging quests if you can handle them, to get better exp rewards. Maybe that fucks you over later though. If quests are getting tough for you, try checking for any skipped quests near the start of the zone - those usually give you some new gear/weapons.

That's been the problem with the model since WoW did it. I love grouping together, but doing bear ass quests, grouping makes things annoying. It can help on the kill quests, but on the "click the thing" quests, it takes longer. And the entire system makes the process a constant stream of "so did you get that done yet? okay, now click on that thing. Everyone click that yet? Oh you got lost? It's over here" and so on.

Is there any decent group leveling alternative to quests?

Bondurant, I'd be willing to bet they did some out of group tag PL at some point towards the end.

Id also be willing to bet the guy probably saved his labor until the higher levels and vocational potioned it for double xp.

Does PRX still have housing spots around the area you settled in for the new free arrivals? And launch is tonight at midnight, i was gearing for a 9am launch but its in 10 hours!

Wouldn't be too hard to do if you can find a well saturated area of lvl 44 mobs. Can PL someone from mid 30's to 50 on one particular account. Wouldn't take too long either, 8 mobs is roughly 1 quest.

Something like a bandit beach camp or crabs/slugs etc. The main group would need to be atleast level 30 to do significant dps to the target. A raid of 10 or so 30's could in theory PL someone from 30 - 50 on the 44 camp I'd be willing to bet @30 mins a level it'd be about 10 hours.

The key xp range would be 2% per pull (roughly 8 mobs per pull, can't do more than 8 or you get the -80%dmg taken buff on the mobs). 50 pulls per level - would need to be able to clear a whole pull and move onto the next one in 30 seconds.

How important is it to have farming stuff and housing? Personally it doesnt interest me that much, its something new to do but id rather go farm some mobs with my 50 toon or go boat jacking with some guildies, things like that, its more fitting to my playstyle.
